2010 Title I Kansas Reading Academy

The Title I Reading Academy is a 5 1/2 day professional development opportunity for K-5, Title I, Special Education and ESL teachers in Title I buildings. This Academy focuses on using assessment to diagnose individual students' strengths and needs and using research-based reading strategies during instruction with at-risk readers.

An optional 1/2-day Pre-Academy will be offered the day before each Academy for teachers who are not familiar or would like more experience administering Running Records or Informal Reading Inventories to determine a student's instructional reading level.
